HATEBREED ANNOUNCE EIGHTH ALBUM WEIGHT OF THE FALSE SELF

Hatebreed_WOTFS_1080x1080.jpg

Nuclear Blast artist Hatebreed will release their eighth studio album Weight of The False Self. The 12-track album is stocked with pit-stirring anthems. It arrives on November 27 and is available for pre-order here.

The band has shared the lyric video for the title track. Watch here.

Pre-save the album and listen to the title track on all streaming platforms.

"When writing lyrics and riffs, I try to be in the moment, getting a mental picture of my current reality in order to convey what I want to say," says singer Jamey Jasta about the new material. "Sometimes, I think my reality consists of two irreducible elements, expressed by the age-old interior battle of the dualistic self. The angel on one shoulder stands firm, providing reason, wisdom, and compassion while the devil dances angrily on the other, ranting with passion, spite, and dark desire. I often wonder if a truly centered mind is attainable, an effortless and non-dualistic state of equilibrium. Until then, I'll just listen to both sides of my personality and hope I make the right choice. At the end of the day, the listener will choose to hear what they want, but when I am writing, I imagine the voice of the angel to be a lil' louder."

Weight of the False Self was produced by frequent Hatebreed collaborator Zeuss and it arrives on the heels of the sold-out anniversary shows that Hatebreed embarked upon throughout 2019 and the unprecedented success of 2016's The Concrete Confessional. Not only did the latter tally over 42 million Spotify streams, but the single "Looking Down The Barrel of Today” also clocked 30 million-plus Spotify streams. The band also covered Revolver and The Guardian bestowed a 4-out-of-5 star rating on the album, proving that over 20 years deep into its career, this Connecticut hardcore metal institution remains as vital as ever.

Renowned for their ability to provide an intense and cathartic release for their fans, Hatebreed challenged themselves and their writing style in order to produce material that is exceptionally relatable in a contemporary world flooded with overstimulation, emotional dampening, and lack of social patience. "Weight of The False Self is a perfect representation of Hatebreed in 2020, a fresh onslaught of soon-to-be classics with all the elements that led you here since day one," explains guitarist Frank Novinec.

Drummer Matt Byrne shares, "There's no shortage of beefy riffs and adrenaline-fueled drums on this record. I'm proud to say that we will consistently provide a soundtrack to which you can mosh in your living room and destroy your apartment."

The album artwork was created by Eliran Kantor.

THE BLADE DROPS!

After landing the biggest song of their 25-year career, selling out shows worldwide, and finishing the victory lap of an intense three-year cycle, Nuclear Blast artist Hatebreed return with their first new single in four years with "When The Blade Drops."

Watch the lyric video here

Stream & download here.

"This is just a taste of what's to come and we're definitely going hard on this one," says frontman Jamey Jasta. "The speed, intensity, and brutality that people have come to expect from us is on full display. Can't wait to play this one live and see the pit erupt."

At just under three minutes, "When the Blade Drops" is an absolute ripper that reaffirms the GRAMMY® Award-nominated quintet’s status as one of the most relevant and impactful acts in hard rock and heavy metal. This standalone single also heralds the start of a new chapter in Hatebreed's history that is guaranteed to be marked by the same ruthless breakdowns, pit-stirring anthems, and poignant lyrics that have made them one of heavy music's most unshakable institutions. "When the Blade Drops" effectively crystallizes the energy and fury of Hatebreed's legendary live gigs into a sharper-than-a-guillotine anthem.

The anthemic track is a special treat for fans as Hatebreed finish their new album, due out later this year.  While "When the Blade Drops" won't appear on the forthcoming album, it certainly sets the table for what's to come. Stay tuned for more details on Hatebreed's eighth studio album.

"When the Blade Drops" arrives hot on the heels of the sold-out anniversary shows that Hatebreed embaked on throughout 2019 and the unprecedented success of 2016’s The Concrete Confessional. Not only did the latter tally 42 million total Spotify streams, but single "Looking Down The Barrel of Today” also clocked 25 million-plus Spotify streams. The band also covered Revolver and The Guardian bestowed a 4-out-of-5 star rating on the album.

Hatebreed will be touring Europe this spring with Parkway Drive. More U.S. touring is also planned. All confirmed dates are below.

Dropkick Murphys will kick off fall 2019 with a coast-to-coasttour featuring Clutch, launching September 20 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, MA. Joined by Hatebreed on most dates, plus special guests Amigo The Devil and Russ Rankin of Good Riddance on select dates, the tour wraps October 15 at the WAMU Theatre in Seattle, WA. Tickets for most dates go on sale Thursday, April 18.

Since forming in 1996, Boston’s Dropkick Murphys have sold a staggering 7 million albums worldwide, with 2005’s The Warrior’s Code achieving an RIAA Gold certification and its smash single “I’m Shipping Up To Boston” nearing double platinum and appearing during a key moment of Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning The Departed. They’ve hosted sold out concerts at most of the city’s landmarks, including Fenway Park, TD Garden, the Boston Pops, and even the last voyage of the USS Constitution. Dropkick Murphys are touring in support of their 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory album, released through the band's own Born & Bred Records in 2017. The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 and was the #1 independently released album. There's a feeling of purpose throughout the album, influenced by the band's work with The Claddagh Fund, a charity the band established in 2009 to help support addiction recovery as well as children's and veterans' organizations.

Maryland rockers Clutch have been pushing the boundaries of heavy rock music since the 4 original members got together in high school. Having been tagged hard rock, blues rock, southern stoner rock and alternative metal by media and fans across the world it is safe to say one thing…“What you see is what you get” and what you get is a musical force that has been best described as the quintessential American Rock Band. Clutch quickly became known for their relentless touring schedules, playing shows from whiskey stained 2 door venues in the hills of West Virginia to the iconic Brixton Academy in the UK, and are currently touring in support of their 12th album Book Of Bad Decisions.

Unstoppable, Grammy-nominated hardcore juggernaut Hatebreed remain one of the most relevant and impactful acts in the hard rock and metal scenes. Since their definitive debut in 1997, they've continued to be road warriors, touring constantly and sharing stages with everyone from Slipknot to Slayer, while also serving as one of the top-tier headliners on multiple festivals including Ozzfest, Mayhem, Warped Tour, and countless others. The Connecticut band is currently celebrating 25 years of ruthless breakdowns, pit-stirring anthems, and poignant lyrics across eight albums and consistently sold-out shows in 2019.

HATEBREED ARE CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF "DESIRE" AND 15 YEARS OF "PERSEVERANCE" WITH FALL HEADLINE TOUR SUPPORT ACTS ANNOUNCED INCLUDE DYING FETUS, CODE ORANGE, AND MORE

InstagramNEW.jpg

Unstoppable, Grammy-nominated hardcore juggernaut Hatebreed released their first full-length, the modern hardcore classic Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, back in November of 1997. The album set the tone for the type of moshable metal that would eventually go on to define the '00s.

2002's Perseverance was a perfectly executed, packed-with-anthems follow up that has become emblematic of the era. In fact, the album's iconic and lyrically uplifting track, "I Will Be Heard," has become the band's signature battle cry, securing its place as the quintessential, fist-in-the-air chant of the new millennium, thanks to a call-to-action that starts with "Now is the time for me to rise to my feet…"

In the 20 years since their definitive debut, Hatebreed have rightfully earned their status as hardcore legends. They've remained road warriors, touring constantly and reducing venues to pile of rubble and ash while sharing stages with everyone from Slipknot to Slayer and serving as one of the top-tier headliners on multiple festivals, from Ozzfest to Mayhem to Warped Tour.

The band will embark on a headline tour this fall, celebrating the 20 years of Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire and the 15 years of Perseverance by playing a majority of songs from both albums, along with other fan favorites from across the entire Hatebreed catalogue.

Kublai Khan and Shattered Sun will only appear on 10/26 and 10/27. Dying FetusCode Orange, and Twitching Tongues will appear from 11/22 through 12/9; however, Code Orange will not appear on 11/22 in Poughkeepsie, on 12/2 in Cleveland, and 12/8 in New Haven. Candiria have been added to the Poughkeepsie show.

The addition of these exciting support acts will make for an evening of uncompromising metal no matter the city!

Tickets are on sale now at www.hatebreed.com

Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta added, "Sometimes it's good to look back just to see how far you've come. There's about four-five songs off of Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire and about six or seven off of Perseverance that we rarely play, so we've hit the rehearsal room and dusted off a killer batch of songs and deep cuts that we'll blast your eardrums with this fall. Come celebrate not one but two anniversaries with us!"
.
All Fall 2017 Hatebreed tour dates are below. Please note that the 12/7 venue in Buffalo has changed to The Town Ballroom.

Hatebreed's latest critically acclaimed album The Concrete Confessional is out now via Nuclear Blast.

HATEBREED HITS A CAREER-HIGH ON BILLBOARD'S TOP CURRENT ALBUMS CHART WITH "THE CONCRETE CONFESSIONAL"

LOS ANGELES, CA - Monday, May 23, 2016 -- The Concrete Confessional, Hatebreed's seventh full-length recording and one of Rolling Stone's "25 Most Anticipated Metal Albums for 2016," has debuted at #13 on Billboard's Top Current Albums chart.  The Grammy-nominated band also sees the album making its first-week bow at #2 on the Hard Rock Albums and Current Hard Rock Albums charts, and #3 on the Top Independent Albums chart.

What Jamey Jasta Hopes Fans will Take Away from the New Album

LOS ANGELES, CA - Friday, May 13, 2016 -- Music places us in time, it provides a snapshot for our lives, we remember where we were, what we were doing and what was going on in the world when we hear a particular song.  In years to come, Hatebreed's  The Concrete Confessional, in-stores today, will likely prompt memories of the upheaval that is taking place in our world today, terrorist attacks and the most outrageous Presidential primaries in America's history.

HATEBREED PREMIERES LYRIC VIDEO FOR NEW TRACK "SEVEN ENEMIES"

LOS ANGELES, CA - Monday, May 9, 2016 -- Today, Hatebreed premieres the lyric video for the track "Seven Enemies," which can be viewed here:   https://youtu.be/syhoHIe6Wpc

The song, from Hatebreed's upcoming album The Concrete Confessional (May 13, Nuclear Blast), is a take on the Seven Deadly Sins that have a place in most of the world's religions.  "A lot of people gravitate towards their vices and sins and it dooms them," said the band's Jamey Jasta.  "They lead to destructive lifestyle patterns, and then that starts affecting the people around them."
